2000 Toyota Tundra 4.7 Have A Interference Engine

I was right around 200K miles when the timing belt broke as I was coasting to a stop doing maybe 20mph this is the one I replaced at about 100K btw. The engine has a timing belt that needs the replacement every 90000 miles. Many say it is interference engine others say they have had timing belt break replace it and it is fine.

Is a 2000 Toyota 47 V8 interference engine. But the way the pistons have large valve reliefs cast into them and the tundra has an 85 compression ratio. Tundra 2000-2004 V6 Belt 2005 V6 Chain.

Im about to tick over to 180k miles and I have a 300 mile road trip coming up I have a 2000 tundra pre vvti Non I-Force is my engine an interference engine or not. OK I am new to this site but nobody said anything about the 47 engine that is in a 2000 Tundra TRD mine is a 47 and the timing belt was replaced by the dealer at 81700 I have 140000 miles on her now with no problems. The 3MZ and vvti 1MZ being notable exceptions.

The 2005-07 47L is definitely interference. 20L DOHC Interference. These engines do not have any design flaws meaning lash noise wheezing cannot be found.

Can any body tell me if the 47 V8 is Interference or non-interference. I dont know if youd hear the sound of valves hitting pistons but it died very quietly. My dealer told me he sees timing belts break with no enginevalve damage.
