Havent posted here much but thought this one was worth it. Did the inner and outer tie rods at the same time and replaced all the PS rack bushings also. 35 mph when ball joint failure occurred.

This can also be an indicator of a bad wheel hub bearing but on the 1st gen Tundra its likely the ball joint. THIS failure gives no common warning and instead seizes up in the socket slowly until turning the wheel back and forth with driving causes the ball to BREAK OFF completely. The only warning signs I had of this were tighter steering not long before it came apart.
