2000 Toyota Tundra Bank 2 Sensor 1 Location
Sensor refers to upstream or downstream of the catalytic converter.
2000 toyota tundra bank 2 sensor 1 location. I have a 2000 Tundra Access Cab V8 47 liter need to get California smog certification OBDII is showing code P0161 O2 Sensor Heater Bank 2 Sensor 2. Bank 2 is always the other side of the engine. So bank 2 is the passenger side of the engine and sensor 1 will be located before the catalytic converter.
Banks refer to the sides of the engine. Sensor 1 is upstream of the cat and sensor 2 is downstream of the cat. Are bank 2 located passenger side.
1 side and bank 2 refers to cyl. If you replaced the sensor next to radiator for a code for bank 1 sensor 1 then you have replaced the wrong one. Bank 1 is driver side while bank 2 is the passenger side.
I believe you can get them out with normal tools. Bank 1 is always the sameside of the engine as the number one cylinder. Discussion Starter 1 Jun 29 2008.

Sensor 1 is the one up closest to the exhaust manifold. So bank 2 is the passenger side of the engine and sensor 1 will be located before the catalytic converter. There are 2 oxygen sensors on each side.
