2017 Toyota Tundra Tow Haul Button

The 2014 models are different with the tow haul I noticed.

2017 toyota tundra tow haul button. Trailers and is a MUCH tougher trunk than Toyota. Production model may vary. If it does not the Tundra does not have a tow package.

Overdrive is still usable when hauling on. Push it any time you need more pulling stopping or steering power to compensate for a heavy trailer or load. The 57 Tundra is VERY capable of towing 6000 to 10000 lb.

At stop start in 2nd then 3rd at 30mph and 4th at 40mph etc. Use TOWHAUL button for more power and control when towing heavy loads Prototype shown with options. The driver can slow down or stop downhill without risking an accident.

I towed a travel trailer with the tacoma and because the auto shift lever has positions for every gear I didnt care about not having towhaul mode. The towhaul button engages the engine braking gears and increases the control of the truck. I turn it on along with the manual shift on my 11 mile commute. No one should be towing much more than a small trailer in 6th and the real towing gear is 4th as both 5 and 6th gears are overdrives in the Tundra. If your Tundra has the button it has a tow package.

The button enhances a vehicles control and the truck can slow down quickly when the towhaul mode is activated. You can use it whenever youd like. This system allows you to sync up the brakes of a trailer equipped with electric brakes to the braking system of the Tundra pickup.
